Synthesis of the case study

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London is a sporting complex built for the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. After the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London finished, the park served as one of the largest urban parks, designed to enrich and preserve the local environment by restoring wetland habitats and planting native species of plants. Sport is a key element of the atmosphere at the park, and creates a unique personality. Its open spaces and waterways were designed to create a dynamic public playground, encouraging a culture of sport and active outdoor living. The park is a priceless addition to the residential landscape of London, alongside the spectacular venues and open spaces created for the Games.
