The Active Design case studies bring the Ten Active Design Principles to life with practical, real-life examples. The 4 examples come from 3 different cities in the UK and showcase how to utilise existing spaces, deal with urban regeneration, transform a city into an active transport city. Additionally, The national parkrun initiative is showcased by being a low-cost, flexible and inclusive event. The case studies show how they work in action, to inspire and encourage those engaged in the planning, design and management of our urban environments to deliver safe active spaces for local citizens.
